Trans Inclusion & Gender Diversity In The Classroom (05/2025)

Facilitated by Cassius Adair, PhD.

Our trans equity workshops are centered in an intersectional and universal-design approach. While we center trans voices, we strongly believe that gender inclusion is not "just" to make space for trans-identified individuals: it is to enhance the comfort and freedom of all people. We are excited to engage people of all identities and backgrounds in the following topics:

  • Understanding issues of gender and sexuality in an intersectional and transnational context,

  • Navigating conflicting understandings of gender inclusion, especially when it comes to defining gendered spaces

  • Communicating about gender difference in a diverse political and social landscape

  • Advocating successfully for gender inclusion in institutional and pedagogical settings
